International Admission: Bachelor

Accounting continues to be one of the leading professions worldwide. Moreover, the demand for accountants in public practice, industry, and government continues to remain strong. The objective of our program is to prepare students for careers in public or private accounting sectors, or related professions, such as banking and consulting. It also facilitates the professional-oriented preparation for graduate programs in accounting, business, or finance.

Research Focus:

Our program is guided by two underlying principles: 1) students must learn not only accounting theory but also be able to incorporate relevant theories into practical application; and 2) traditional accounting practices must be conjoined with advances in modern information technology to achieve a unified approach. These two underlying principles flow into the design of all courses in our four separate accounting fields: Financial accounting, taxation, finance management, and information technology.
Students are required to complete a minimum of thirty-nine accounting hours and twelve information technology hours beyond the introductory courses. The required and recommended courses can be found in our website: http://www.ltc.edu.tw/%7Eacct/. Graduates of our program will meet the demand for professionals who understand the applications of technology in the context of business and accounting processes. All of the information technology courses are taught from the perspective of the accounting professional.

*Provide E-generation teaching methods, such as utilization of the information technology and internet.
*Hold presentations and conferences that present the latest advances, techniques and knowledge.
*Offer field trips into the realms of government, business and industry for the purpose of witnessing the incorporation of academic theory to daily authentic practices.
*Utilize language laboratories to enhance students’ language proficiency and communication skills.

*Our school is aggressively procuring the best equipment, facilities, and faculty.
*Our school continually hosts lectures and conferences with the intention of expanding the academic atmosphere to establish an intercollegiate exchange internationally.
*Our school works in collaboration with leaders at all levels of business, government, banking, securities and exchange commissions, as well as CPA firms to supply the most stimulating practicum environments for our students.

There are many career paths for accounting graduates. Most of our graduates pursue careers in various businesses and industries, and at all levels of government departments. Others are employed by public or private accounting firms that render the public and all types of organizations services of audit, tax, and consulting. For students who desire to pursue graduate degree, prerequisite courses at advanced levels are well- prepared for continued studies in the field of accounting, finance, and management, either in Taiwan or abroad.
